GREEK ARCHITECTURE AWARDS 2015

Overview

In the 'GREEK ARCHITECTURE AWARDS 2015' sixteen works were shortlisted and are presented in this issue. Within the group of these top-ranking designs there are nine built works, an unprecedented high percentage, four first (executed) buildings by young architects, and only three projects. There is a total of eight works of a residential character, an unprecedented low in all years. Next to the successful vacation οr permanent homes, an increased number of beautifully designed commercial and institutional projects in urban contexts appear and demonstrate the direction of private and other commissions in the time of the protracted economic crisis, and also a deep crisis in real estate development.
