The present publication, ‘DOMES 2012 - Greek Architecture Yearbook’, closes the third successive period of the ‘DOMES’ initiative, ‘DOMES 2012’, a project aimed at recording, encouraging, and promoting the work of Greek architects working in Greece or abroad, as well as contemporary architectural creation in Greece in general. The launching of this initiative, undertaken by DOMES for the first time during 2009, aimed at the projection of representative samples of Greece’s current architecture and the provision of easy access to a compendium of important recent architectural works and the profiles of those who conceived them. The two preceding periods, ‘DOMES 2010’ and ‘DOMES 2011’ resulted, respectively, in the two-volume publications ‘DOMES 2010 - Greek Architecture Yearbook’ and ‘’DOMES 2011 - Greek Architecture Yearbook’, which contained in total more than 400 works. The number of the works alone provides a guarantee of adequate, if not necessarily full, documentation of the subject.
